Ben-Gurion University Economics Student Forum
We were founded in August 2015 during a summer seminar that was organized by the Israeli movement for heterodox economics, which calls its self Economics Student Forum and by the word “forum” we refer to all Israeli heterodox student’s organizations.
Our inward university activity focuses on two goals. The first is organizing extracurricular lectures, we succeeded in inviting famous professor (Sheshinski), a member of parliament (Trajtenberg) and the head of our central bank (Flug) among others.
Our second focus is curriculum expansion by adding courses that describe alternative economic approaches and reveal to our students that neoclassical synthesis is just the tip of the iceberg. In addition to that, we stay in touch with the international RE organization and take part in all of the Israeli movement events.
