Rethinking Economics Lucerne

As the University of Lucerne and especially our economic department are still very young, we have made it our mission to broaden the economic curriculum and establish (mandatory) courses in different schools of economic thinking, history of economic thought and philosophy of economics.
Our goal for the students of the University of Lucerne is to be properly equipped to understand and tackle economic problems and trade-offs all along their future careers.

Notable
Achievements

After talks with professors at our University, a course in history of economic was successfully integrated into the economic curriculum. Further, we organised reading circles, where heterodox literature as well as modern economic problems were discussed. As these were a great success we will hope to motivate even more people to join our discussions in the future. In order to raise attention for our endeavour we will organise a month of plural economics, where academics and professionals will hold talks and workshops which focus on specific schools of economic thinking.
